Living Well Institute

Living Well Institute will be doing its part in responding to the outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus. The virus has been named “SARS-CoV-2” and the disease it causes has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”).
This means that both physical office locations will be closed to the public until further notice. I will still be able to offer therapy sessions via tele-health- audio / video sessions. I will be using a secure program that will be private and will protect our conversation. The program ensures confidentiality is maintained on my end. I am not able to protect what is disclosed or discussed if you are not in a secure, and private area. Please keep this in mind.
As we transition and move through the next few weeks, we will all be experiencing a lot of changes. Change is sometimes difficult for people and it causes extra stress and anxiety. We are all in this together and I will be of support during our sessions. Please remember to follow the guidelines set by the CDC to minimize the risk of catching and or spreading the virus. Please remember to wash your hands often, cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough and to adhere to the 6 foot social distancing requirement.
If you would like to continue your treatment, please use the link below to access the virtual waiting room. All you need to do is enter your name alerting me that you are ready and online to begin your session. Please be patient as we work through any technical issues that may arise during this transition. As always, any further questions, please feel free to contact the office at 816.774.1542.

About

Living Well Institute was created to help you get “Well.” Often times, we will want to be well or wish we were well, but lack the knowledge or skills to make it happen. At Living Well Institute, we do not believe in a one size fits all approach. We like to apply a solution that is right for you that helps you achieve your desire to be well.

Therapy is not always an easy step to take.  When you take the step, we will provide a safe and comfortable setting to help you figure out what is blocking you from being well.  Have you ever wondered “how did I get here? Or, how did my life get so out of control?” Therapy may help the everyday struggles and challenges of life become easier to face. We understand it may be difficult to face the day when it seems out of control or too difficult to manage alone. We are here to help when this happens.

We have an office in Cameron and are currently offering virutal sessions.

We work with adults, adolescents, teens and children as young as 3. We specialize in the following ares:

ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief/Loss, Adjustment Issues, Trauma, Oppositional Defiant Behavior, Behavioral Issues, Autism/Asperger’s Spectrum, Substance Abuse/Dependence and Stress Management.

We provide counseling in an individual setting as well as family, couples and marriage therapy and specialized group counseling. Our providers utilize many different approaches with each client. We do not have a one size fits all, but rather apply an approach that fits with your presenting needs. One approach we do offer is Christian Counseling that incorporates a faith-based approach.

When we have a wish to be well, we often seek out things that bring us immediate pleasure and enjoyment, hoping it will fill the emptiness inside (Body). These things will fulfill for a short time, but are never long lasting. We are sometimes left with that empty “is this all there is to life” feeling (Mind). Driving us into a repeat of empty attempts to be well.

At Living Well Institute we take a holistic approach, that life is FULL when we have reached satisfaction in all areas; Mind, Body and Spirit. Resulting in overall peace with oneself and their life. Are you seeking this? Do you wish to get well?
